About Life Skills GO:

Life Skills GO is an easy to use emotion and wellbeing data collection tool that measures readiness to learn through empowering student voice, enabling schools with real-time data dashboards, insights and metrics to make informed decisions specific to their student and school needs. GO provides a library of evidence based and curriculum aligned resources and adaptive lessons to support social and emotional literacy and foster whole school, whole student wellbeing. 

Speakers:
  • Nikki Bonus - Founder/CEO of Life Skills Group,  is an experienced ed-tech founder, harnessing more than 20 years of deeply personal and professional experience in the development and delivery of social-emotional literacy programs for individuals, organisations, and most importantly, teachers and students. Nikki’s work has helped give voice to more than 850 schools, connecting with 20,000 teachers and 500,000 primary school children to build a continuing evidence base of what works to measure, report and implement real improvements in Social Emotional and Physical Literacy for school communities.
  • Dr. Corrie Ackland Corrie is a clinical psychologist and the director of Sydney Phobia Clinic. She holds a bachelor of psychology with 1st class honours, and a masters in clinical psychology from Western Sydney University, and a PhD in Aviation psychology from UNSW.

    Corrie has over 13 years experience treating all fears and phobias, including OCD, and with founding Sydney Phobia Clinic has become a thought leader in phobias and a pioneer in the development and application of virtual reality in psychological treatment, providing expert comment regularly across tv, radio, podcast, and print media. She is a board-endorsed supervisor providing supervision to peers and early career psychologists, a guest lecturer for major Sydney universities, and sessional lecturer at New York University Sydney.

  • Stephanie Giles – Deputy Principal, Guildford West Public School, Steph has been working in the area of Special Education and Learning Support for 15 years and holds a Bachelor of Education and Masters of Special Education. She is currently the Deputy Principal at Guildford West Public School, with her role focused primarily on wellbeing as well as on overseeing the school’s Learning Support Team. This involves supporting students with social and emotional difficulties, mental health disorders, complex learning needs, diagnosed disabilities, learning difficulties and trauma. She has worked across special education and mainstream settings and is passionate about supporting student wellbeing and enhancing learning opportunities for all students in the areas of social and emotional learning. 
  • Daniel Payne  Deputy Principal, Shortland Public School, Daniel has nearly 20 years of experience in public education and is dedicated to fostering supportive school environments. At Shortland, he has championed the integration of Life Skills GO into the school’s wellbeing strategy, using it to enhance emotional intelligence, resilience, and student voice. This tool has reshaped the school’s vision for student development and aligns with its holistic approach to nurturing the whole child. Daniel’s leadership has empowered staff and students alike, contributing to a more inclusive, mindful, and well-rounded school community.
