ABOUT OUR EXPERTS

Jodie Holt

Jodie Holt is the principal of Stockton Public School, with over 10 years of leadership experience and a background in early childhood education. She’s passionate about student wellbeing and believes it should sit at the heart of everything we do in schools—not just as a program, but as a culture.
Jodie’s leadership is grounded in connection, student voice, and creating a genuine sense of belonging. She champions student-centred leadership and is driven by the belief that when young people feel safe, heard, and valued, they flourish. Mentorship, authentic relationships, and inclusive practices are all key parts of how she leads her school community.
A key part of this work at Stockton Public School has been embedding Life Skills Go across every classroom. The daily check-ins give staff insight into how students are feeling and what might be going on for them, helping teachers build a deeper understanding of each child’s context. The power lies not just in the data, but in the follow-up conversations—between teacher and student, and with families. It’s strengthened relationships across the school, with students connecting more meaningfully with their teachers—and teachers building stronger connections with their students.
With a down-to-earth style and a strong focus on people, Jodie brings practical ideas and real-world experience to the conversation about wellbeing and leadership.

Nikki Bonus is an experienced ed-tech founder and CEO of Life Skills Group, harnessing more than 20 years of deeply personal and professional experience in the development and delivery of social-emotional literacy programs for individuals, organizations, and most importantly, teachers and students. Nikki’s work has helped give voice to more than 850 schools, connecting with 20,000 teachers and 500,000 primary school children to build a continuing evidence base of what works to measure, report and implement real improvements in Social Emotional and Physical Literacy for school communities.
