Life Skills GO & NAPLAN

3rd March

2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

NAPLAN can evoke a range of emotional responses in students, for some it can induce anxiety and worry as students put pressure on their academic performance for a range of reasons, students at the other end of the spectrum can be so relaxed about NAPLAN that they don’t put their best foot forward. Whatever context you are operating in, you can learn a lot about your school and students by collecting Life Skills GO data strategically around NAPLAN. Of particular interest can be the relationship between student performance and their emotional state, historically students who are in an emotional state that is Ready to learn outperform their peers in other emotional states. If this is true in your school, then building strategies to asset students be in a state of ready to learn will be beneficial.

Session Outcome:

  • A walk through of key features in Life Skills GO and how they can be utilised to monitor student readiness to learn leading up to NAPLAN so you can replicate the optimum emotional state for your students when sitting NAPLAN.
  • Consider the best options for collecting Life Skills GO data around NAPLAN assessments to provide key insights when the analysis is triangulated with NAPLAN results.
