We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Business Development Manager, ideally with experience in SAAS and edutech sales, who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children, schools, and families, and loves working in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Strategically identify, generate, manage and constantly build a pipeline of opportunities with schools, and identify strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with schools in developing their strategic plans to assist with their wellbeing, as well as demonstrating new initiatives to schools we hope to partner with in the future.
  • Encourage schools to adopt Social and Emotional Learning in the classroom as a pivotal aspect of the curriculum.
  • Manage relationships with existing accounts to maximise revenue potential
  • Establish revenue growth targets
  • Promote Life Skills Group products to existing and new clients
  • Significantly grow existing client base by implementing a range of techniques and support existing clients, that lead to referrals and repeat business
  • Grow your region as part of this successful school based business
  • Work closely with the CEO/COO regarding coaching, skilling and developing the culture within your region
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, always meeting and aiming to exceed customer expectations, by proactively soliciting customer/teachers feedback and then acting on that feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Ensure all leads as a result of conferences are followed up and bookings are processed
  • Significantly grow existing client base by implementing a range of marketing and sales techniques and support existing clients, that lead to referrals and repeat business
  • Assist in the development of Life Skills Group sales, networking, marketing and branding strategies
  • Attend conferences and trade shows, representing Life Skills Group and promoting our approach at booths, speaking and panel events.
  • Support and assist potential new and established education partners over the phone, in-person and via chat/email.
  • Listen to educator and student feedback, and bring this data to our product team to inform how we develop and improve.
  • Foster a winning culture based around results, standards, integrity and success

Job Specifications

  • Develop, execute, monitor and refine sales strategies to provide a framework for team success
  • Run presentations in schools to demonstrate the program
  • Give creative input at Company Development Days
  • Foster a winning culture based around results, standards, integrity and success
  • Attend and present to conferences/Staff P&C meetings in your region 
  • Send out all information in regards to bookings, making sure that the school has everything required
  • CRM Hubspot Management 
  • Data entry and updating the customer database with meeting notes, updated tasks, and an updated pipeline on a regular basis
  • Outbound sales calls
  • Establish, foster and maintain strong working relationships with customers to identify their future needs and to secure a stream of ongoing revenue and increased sales
  • Manage all customer complaints and act as an escalation point of contact for difficult complaints, ensuring these are always resolved swiftly
  • Ensure regular checkpoint meetings are conducted with schools undergoing the program during the school term
  • Responsible for the implementation of all required activities prior to the first start date of the program in a school and continuous contact through to the end.
  • Meet and exceed KPI’s.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 4+ years experience in SAAS sales (ideally EdTech, but other software industries considered).
  • Commanding desire to represent a growing brand, and bring our product and vision to other schools in K-6 education space
  • An excellent understanding of the primary school curriculum
  • Tertiary qualification of equivalent

Bonus points if you have:

  • Prior experience in EdTech 
  • A strong network of contacts in Primary Schools
  • Experience in identifying partnerships, and have strong relationship skills
  • Marketing and presenting skills: We'd love you to occasionally speak at events on our behalf.
  • Built high performing Sales functions previously

  • Organised and detailed oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
